America is not only widely tolerating homosexuality in our schools, in the media and in the corporate world, but is more openly punishing those who disagree. With well-documented and disturbing proof, Alan Sears and Craig Osten expose the great strides homosexuals are making as a result of their concerted strategic activities.
When I purchased this book a few years back, I forgot about it and set it aside. Having read this embarrassing diatribe over the course of this past weekend I concluded that this book is one of the most poorly written books on the subject. Whilst the book supposedly centers on the homosexual "agenda" of activists Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen, my extensive internet research found that the publications of this "agenda" have been out of print for many, many years, and that the names and ideas of the two are seldom if ever referenced in contemporary homosexual-friendly books and publications. Many of the supporting stories in this book are seriously illogical and just plumb silly, for example, in the book's chapter on the "agenda's" first of six points to "talk about gays.....as loudly as possible", the authors insert a two paragraph story about illicit public sex in a Virginia state forest. While I very much doubt that public sexual activity of any sort would win over the hearts and minds of much of anybody, somehow I was supposed to believe that this story best illustrated the supposed subject of this chapter, "talk". Would that portions of this book have been submitted in my college english composition course I would have awarded the authors a C minus for their efforts with the enjoiner: "poorly written and intellectually demeaning; deficient in logical conveyance of core ideas: the construction of your words strongly infers that Christian readers are both ignorant and gullible". If homosexual activists were smart enough, their distribution of a copy of this book to every American household could create more enemies of the Faithful than the Evil One could have mastered in a generation. Wake up Christians, we can do better than this!
I just finished reading Sear's and Osten's book, and I am stunned. For those of us who have abided by biblical morals, the pressure is growing to succumb to a politically correct, homosexuality-affirming agenda. The subtitle of this volume reads, "Exposing the principal threat to religious freedom today." These words summarize the theme of the book.Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are both in the process of being curtailed in light of the new, growing state religion of tolerance. While many of us may not believe that American society could come to such a point, the authors present case after case to show how these freedoms are being restrained, and how if present trends continue these freedoms will be diminished even further. This title is an eye-opener for Christians with a biblically-based morality and sexuality. Get it, read it, and realize the great peril we face as believers who condemn homosexuality as a valid, alternate lifestyle.
