Fantastic. I did a little homework and learned that the Holman is written at 7-8 grade reading level, as is the NIV. It reads smoothly and has wonderfully relevant notes that equip you to defend your faith. It's quite honestly, much better than I expected.

I like the approach of the apologetic notes in this bible and I wanted a Holman CSB translation around the house. The apologetic notes are very balanced and avoid most denominational controversies by emphasizing the larger themes. For instance, some of the big points of the creation account are: *) God created everything, *) He did it out of nothing (was he the "first cause") - these are huge distinctives for Christianity that give its story of origins veracity in the areas of philosophy and science. These big points sometimes get deemphasized by internal debates within Christianity about how God accomplished creation.

this is by far my favorite bible,and I have many. first I like the Holman Christian Standard, second this Apologetics version is just jammed packed full of information. I like it so much I am going to get the genuine leather version.If you are offended by the style and questions in this bible..well maybe you should take a look at your walk. Fathers Blessings to You

This bible addresses many common questions presented by skeptics. The articles empower the layman with information! It was a pleasant surprise to see the errors of common cults such as Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Wicca and the New Age movement refuted. The large 10 pt text of the bible is very readable. The only note is that the pages themselves are very thin.
