A pastor's wife is a great juggler, managing numerous responsibilities simultaneously. But take it from this clergy spouse of 38 years - God, spiritual health, and family must come first - or there will be trouble. In High Call High Privilege, Gail MacDonald shares practical advice and real-life wisdom for living in the world of ministry. Discussion questions for each chapter of the book are included, making it suitable for a small study group study as well.

Gail MacDonald loves the ministry. Over a period of four decades, she has been involved with four congregations and one parachurch organization with her husband, Pastor Gordon MacDonald.
Throughout the book you will take a tour through these years of shared ministry. Like Paul the apostle who gave and received much from the churches, Gordon and Gail look gratefully at the journey they have shared with these distinctive groups of people.
It is Gail's prayer that readers will see their own uniqueness in God's design, never trying to be anyone but themselves" the people God intended them to be. When you are finished reading, she hopes that you have heard one unmistakable message" that a life of ministry in the church is still a high call, a high privilege.
Judy Wright5 Stars Out Of 5February 27, 2008Judy WrightAbsolutely my favorite book for wives in ministry. I read it about every 2 years! I find it encouraging while at the same time convicting each and every time I read it. I've led our new youth staff wives through it and each of them loved it and could hardly put it down. Lots of real life illustrations that you will relate to and be challenged by. I highly recommend this book for personal read or leading a staff wives book club.
