Ordered it for my boyfriend for his studies, had his name engraved on it and he absolutely loves it! He's used to reading the NLT but I read KJV. He finds the KJV hard to understand sometimes so I thought of getting him NKJV which is a little modified but still has the KJV feel to it. And I've read the NIV which I like as well but still stick to KJV. So I wanted to get him a parallel bible with both versions (NLT which he likes and KJV which I like) but I came across this bible with all 4 versions! Total deal stealer! He already enjoys reading it with all 4 version side by side.
After reading the reviews, many said that the writing was very small so I also bought one of those magnifying marker but turns out he doesn't even need, He thinks the text is just fine! He's happy and I'm satisfied! :)
Only thing is, I wish it had red text in the New Testament of Jesus's speaking.
I love the fact that you can few 4 different translations of the bible at once. The print is really small but i have one of those magnifier bookmarks that I use and it is just fine. I ordered my a set of new marker pens from this site and I can't wait to get busy with my bible study and marking all my favorite scriptures.
The Bible is nice. The bonded leather is ok. The print is very small, but readable. I am disappointed with the print going into the valley of the spine. You will have to work at opening the book far enough to read the inner verses. I would still recommend this as a great study Bible.
Love the 4 versions. Red letter would be even better but no parallels I have found have red letter. Biggest issue with this one is the valleys - where the text bends inward near the center of the book. Because the publisher has to fit 4 translations on 2 facing pages, the text for the middle 2 translations ends up close enough to the center binding that it creates a valley effect, i.e. the text is "bent" inward where the pages curve down toward the binding. Can you work around it? Certainly. But I find that it gets somewhat old having to constantly be flattening/pressing the pages down. Returned for a 2 translation version, the valley effect is less pronounced with 2.
