This book should be a must read on every Christian's list. It is not only inspiring and full of hope, it addresses the fears, challenges, and trials that many Christians face (Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief). While this book and Alex's story are remarkable in so many respects, it focuses on a family's love of their family; miracles, touches on spiritual warfare in the life of a child, and shares a 'bird's eye view' of heaven. Alex's description of Jesus, God, God's love for us, the part angels (messengers) play in our lives (that we don't see) and the remarkable faith and endurance of a family trying to save and bring their son back from a coma after an accident that sent him to heaven for awhile is stunning. No doubt their challenges continue.

I've read this book three times, have cried through it every time and am reading it a fourth time since it was purchased when it first came out. This book will "grow your faith." The remarkable prayer warriors who embarked on this mercy mission of continuing prayer for Alex and his family are truly a part of God's literal 'army on earth.' The prayer warriors who stand in the gap for others on a daily basis ... largely unnoticed by the world ... yet pulling down strongholds of every type and description ... are a blessing.

Today, I would like to know how Alex is doing; what his progress has been; the continuing revelations that have come from him; and the incredible walk of faith that this family lives with every day.

The Boy Who Came From Heaven is full of miracles. Alex is an amazing little boy. It is hard not be inspired by his story. My heart ache for his dad, Kevin. He struggled so much dealing with the car accident and the aftermath. The guilt, the financial troubles, stress, and marital strain. But still he kept his faith for his little boy. I think this true story is worth a read. I hope one day I read about Alex when he's older and if he still sees angels.

    4 1/2 stars.

As Kevin, the author, said, he is relating things as they happened, and it is up to us to decide whether to believe it and take it to heart. The initial description of the events sent my heart into my throat; the miracles took my breath away. This is an amazing account, and all the credit belongs to God. I love that everything lines up with the Scriptures. Kevin emphasizes that he does not know for sure about some things, and not trying to convince us, but this is from a childs perspective. He admits he is not strong, nor does he have unflagging faith, but God can do anything. The outpouring of love and giving from so many is deeply inspiring.

Alexs experiences ring true. They remind me of what my mother told me after she had nearly died. I told her about a book I had read regarding someone who said he saw heaven, and she said its not like that. She said it cannot be described; and she didnt want to leave. She left it like that. Nothing Alex said contradicts her. This is very well written and the message is clear and uplifting.

I can tend to be a little skeptical of otherworldly experiences, but when I hear it from the words of a child, I am much more open to the idea. A child is not going to be capable of making up these kinds of images and keeping his story straight for month after month after month. This story was impressive to me--probably more so because Alex wasn't miraculously healed of his paralysis and while his family continues to believe he will be fully healed in this life, they have learned to adapt and adjust to the circumstances they are in. It is impressive the courage exhibited by Alex through the whole journey. While the writing style isn't top notch in my opinion, the story is defintely amazing. May God receive the glory through it all.
