A Heart Like His: Intimate Reflections on the Life of David, Paperback Edition
Excellent study. Deeply moving. Moore's a favorite
WOW. I just finished my second read by Beth Moore. My first was So Long Insecurity which I am planning to re-read. I believe one of the reasons why this beautiful woman has been able to touch the heart of many- including me - is her passion for God, which flows beautifully through her words.
Beth has beautiful heart and I've seen it in both books. Her excellent writing engaged me and once more doesn't fail to move me! Seriously. I cried a river all throughout this book and I think Beth is honestly one of the best writer I've ever seen and definitely a favorite!
This is not your average Bible Study. You might want to bring tissues, prayers and a heart willing to learn because I believe every word you'll read will be deeply engraved in your spirit for a long time to come.
The story of David comes alive and sends the reader into a roller-coaster of emotions. It paints an incomparable picture of the fathomless majesty of the King of kings while exposing and reminding me of my heart's desire : Him.
Beauty. Excellence. Majesty. Grace and Mercy.
Oh, don't tarry fellow reader, do pick this one up!

Warrior Poet with a heart
I actually used the Spanish version of this book in Paraguay
to mentor our pastors and leaders in preparation for years.
I found the lives of David, Saul, and Samuel were the perfect way to address the heart issues that make or break Christian leaders. I highly recommend this book. Signed Rev. Bob Boston

An INCREDIBLE new copy of this book!!!!
Have you ever wondered what it meant when someone said "he/she is a man/woman after God's own heart"? I had, I didn't quite understand. I knew it must be something to do with the way we lived or the way we stayed tuned to God during trouble but I never quite "got it". In Beth Moore's "A Heart Like His", she gives a little insight into that very addage.
"A Heart Like His" is an intense and intimate study of the life of David and it is incredible. David is one of my favorite characters in the Bible and yet I had never seen his life in this way. I was astounded as I watched his life play out and as Beth Moore was able to show me what it meant to have a heart like His. Now, I must say that I am a new Beth Moore fan and when I was given the chance to read this, I jumped...with no hesitation; and I'm glad I did. This is an incredible book (I had to read it twice just to get all the details~!!!!!
One of my favorite passsages (there were many...my book is full of underlines and margin notes) applies to my life greatly and I hope its an encouragement to everyone...
"We're going to win, but victory is going to take blood, sweat, and tears-His blood, our sweat, and tears from us both."
PLEASE find a copy of this book....you won't be sorry.

A great new edition
This is a new edition of this book. If you have never read a Beth Moore book before this is a great one to start with. If you have read her books you will love this book just as much as all the others.
This particular book delves into the life of David and his relationship with the Lord. The book describes DavidâÂÂs life and relates it to our life today. I found the book very educational. Sermons on the life of David are preached all the time. I felt this book takes you on a unique journey that explores DavidâÂÂs life. It is very easy to read and the authorsâ personality really shines when she relates DavidâÂÂs life lessons to lessons we can learn today.
I gave this book 5/5 stars for numerous reasons. It is easy to read and easy to understand. It has lessons for your every day life and the lessons are presented in a loving manner. I think this book is a must read for all Christian interested in the life of David.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
