MargotSouth AustraliaAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Calm, Peaceful ReaadingJuly 16, 2014MargotSouth AustraliaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4What a good idea - to collect 3 Amish novellas, not connected in any way, into one volume. They were simple to read, without the plot being too complex, and yet they held my interest, built my faith and entertained. I enjoyed watching Naaman court Levina, his wife of 30 years, and seeing her trust grow again. I enjoyed watching Leah's Daed grow to respect her for all that she was, and seeing Aaron love her well regardless of her shortcomings. And watching Daniel draw Lydia out of mourning with such a determined love was inspiring. They were all great stories, all the better for being together!
ShermaMississauga, CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Healing HeartsMarch 2, 2014ShermaMississauga, CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Three absolutely beautiful stories of healing from past hurts. Beth wiseman really knows how to captivate her readers. I had previously read the fist two stories in another novella and a change of heart as a Stand alone book and posted my reviews for those already so this review is for Healing Hearts. I love this story from the very moment I started reading it. It gripped the romantic in me from page one. I really enjoyed the portrayal of teenage love between two adults who had been married for all those years. I understood the issue of the mistrust that Levina experienced as well. The story's twist involving the sheriff was also a beautiful and refreshing touch, it was at moments funny the way he defied his wife all weekend long. I was sad at the price he paid for it. A responding yes. I highly recommend this wonderful Collection of stories.
Grandma EdithPiqua, OHAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A book to help hearts healOctober 8, 2012Grandma EdithPiqua, OHAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It is an outstanding trilogy about people who have faced very serious relational issues in their lives and how God brought them through to victory. I was very impressed. I gave it to a grand daughter who is having some issues with healing in her life. I trust it will help her resolve some of the relational issues in her life. I have told many people about the book and hope it is read by many. I love the Amish books and these are beautiful examples of people working out their problems with God's help.
