In my opinion this wasn't as good as the authors first book, Tailor made bride, but over all it was a nice read. I didn't have any trouble with it, and the main female character loves to read, so I found that that was fun.
Thank you Lord for Mrs Witemeyer, an author who believes in happily-ever-afters. (Can I get an amen?)
Head in The Clouds follows the adventures of Miss Proctor-- obviously a dreamer and a romantic. But also, a beautiful, smart, sensible and strong woman. (Know anyone like that? Oh, they sure will love the heroine in this book!!) Adelaide enters the household of Gideon Westcott at first as a governess, and then, well let's say, the relationship between these two change (for the better of course -- Girls, get ready to sigh!! )They face MANY challenges-- to give you a clue, they almost come across death many times as the two of them join together to protect Isabella. And believe me, the risks they take to protect this little one, the perseverance and the care they show towards each other-- can only come from true, pure love.
So many beautiful lessons in this one -- overall, such a beautiful book!
If you love fun, good romance, action and adventure and of course if you want depth in a Christian novel, (this is not just some cute girlish story) then grab a copy and get your own "Head in the Clouds"!
I absolutely loved this book! Same goes for all Karen's books but this was most definitively a favorite! Karen knows how to grab hold of her readers and keep them. She also had a great message in each of her books. I saw several key lessons in this book but the one I really and truly loved was that she really made me feel and see that God has a plan for my life. A wonderful and beautiful plan!
Like I said, I loved all of her books and will continue to buy from her. I am so excited for her next book! What is it called...Short-straw Bride? Something like that. I saw the cover and read the description and am already dying to read it! Speaking of covers, all of Karen's books have darling covers. Three people have already mention to me how beautiful they are!
