This is the second Hcsb Bible that I've purchased. I must say that the quality of the craftsmanship is somewhat better than the other but not by much. This particular bible has a lifetime guarantee that I will have to use because the binding pages that are glued inside are splitting from the sewn seam. The pages are wrinkled throughout the bible which makes me wonder what company they are getting it from because it is very poor quality. The sewn binding it botched and can be seen on the side of one of the front pages. I don't understand the raving reviews about this particular bible unless it is for the translation itself and not the craftsmanship.

I bought this bible expecting the font size to be a little larger than the my current bible. Honestly this font is "normal" and I find the word "Giant Print" to be inaccurate if not misleading. You would think that Holman would have standardize to what is accepted font sizes. It would have been helpful to have a side by side comparison of a giant print to large print.

The bible itself is very nice! I like the feel of the bible in my hands. The black and grey simulated leather is nicely stitched. The bible is best used as a hand readable, because the seam margins are not very wide.

I bought this bible as reading bible as opposed to a study bible. The references and footnotes are adequate as a reading bible. I also have this bible translation on my ereader and my desktop.

I would have preferred a leather version in this size, but apparently Holman just doesn't make one in the 2009 text edition. It's just a little stiff, and does not include a bookmark, but all in all I got what I expected, it's a terrific edition at this the price. I would definitely recommend it for an inexpensive carrying Bible.

Customer service was also outstanding - they went to the warehouse to personally check the copyright date and called me back the next day!
