HCSB Hand Size Giant Print Reference Bible, Dark Brown & Light Brown Simulated Leather
Wonderful bible easy to read.
I recently passed my bibles down to my daughters. So I purchased this bible to have for my personal use. It has nice font size, easier to read for my 50+ years. Nice size to carry. And love the feel of the simulated leather. Only thing I miss is the family history info pages my other bible had. I would recommend it for anyone & would be a great gift also. I am thinking of getting another for a friend who recently was baptised.

Great Translation: I Have Burg. Bonded Leather
I'm actually reviewing this Bible when they made it in bonded leather, and the binding was sewn. I got mine rebound in genuine leather for a long life. I have great concern about the decrease in the quality of materials used to make Bibles. That set aside though, the HCSB is a wonderful translation, both easy to read and accurate. I prefer it by far over the NIV, but that's just my opinion.

The problem is you only get your money's worth.
Been enjoying the inclusion of the HCSB in my studies, and in particular impressed of its accuracy to the original languages, its readability, and the courage of its translators to provide both these elements in a fresh way. My only access to this translation is electronically. Therefore, I have been waiting for the release of a version in print suitable for reading. This product meets my requirements: a second edition text, plain reference Bible, and decent font size. However, the quality of the actual product is quite poor, there is no book marker, and despite having a 10.5 font size it is not as large as expected, probably because it has a shortened height to the font. Unless you are really anxious, I would suggest one wait until a better constructed product comes along.
