This harmony of the four gospels from the NIV has been arranged for study as a companion to Pentecost's earlier book, The Words and Works of Jesus Christ. The complete outline of the Harmony, then each point of the outline is repeated in the body of the Harmony followed by the appropriate texts. Having the parallel texts appear in full with the outline enables the student to easily compare and study the life of Christ without constantly turning the pages from one gospel to another. This book can be used not only as a companion to Words and Works but also as the Scripture text for any study of the gospels or the life of Christ.
This is a harmony of the Gospels giving the text of one, two, three, or four of the Gospels (depending on how many describe any one episode) on the same page. Though it stands on its own as a valuable resource, the book is also a companion volume to 'The Words and Works of Jesus Christ.'
J. Dwight Pentecost is distinguished professor emeritus of Bible exposition of Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author of numerous books including Prophecy for Today, Things to Come, and Things Which Become Sound Doctrine.
