Mary Both5 Stars Out Of 5May 6, 2010Mary BothWonderful book! My daughter goes to public school and is in 1st grade. She is not afraid to share and express her faith in God as Creator and sustainer of the universe. She loves reading about dinasaurs and enjoyed adding this book to her school reading list. Great pictures and subject matter.
onemotherslove5 Stars Out Of 5April 2, 2010onemothersloveI am very happy with this book. I read it to a class of 4-5 year olds at our homeschool co-op today and they enjoyed the book also. Both the pictures and the story line captured their attention. And at a great price, I just may order enough to give them out the last day of class!I have to disagree with Jennifer's 3-star rating. The line in the book states, "These animals were here long before people could make books or take pictures of them. So what do scientists use to find out about dinosaurs?" This does not necessarily mean dinosaurs lived long before people. I took it to mean they lived before books and cameras, and thought it was a great lead-in to fossils and paleontologists, which are discussed on the next page.If you're looking for more information about God's creation of the dinosaurs, check out Dinosaurs By Design, which is also available here on CBD.
Jennifer3 Stars Out Of 5September 12, 2009JenniferI was a little disappointed with one aspect of this book. I've been struggling to find books that represent a biblical worldview with regard to creation. I was disappointed to see that the author of this book mistakenly stated that dinosaurs lived long before humans, when in fact, dinosaurs are alluded to in both Genesis and Job. At least the book stops short of saying that the earth (and dinosaurs) lived millions and millions of years ago. I gave three stars because, at the very least, the unbiblical information is a small part of the book whereas the main focus is that God created EVERYTHING.
