CRW5 Stars Out Of 5Really good book!October 9, 2013CRWQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I learned a lot from reading this book. It is sad that society has changed and now what used to be just a simple kid's event is now something some people think they need to add evil and gore to.
My family will watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Sherlock Holmes, Scooby Doo, etc. and have a nice meal as our alternatives this month. Other ideas could be super hero parties, spy/secret agent parties, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew parties, etc. A search of the internet will give you lots of party ideas!
If I had a little one, I would not hesitate to make or purchase a costume and find a church-sponsored event to attend. The money our family would have spent on Halloween candy to hand out will be donated to our local food bank.
Thanks to Steve Russo for writing this book!

It's amazing how the new age movement and occult have permeated our society. I even heard the newscaster on the world news use the word "channeling" the other night. Cable is airing the "medium" on TLC. Some of the classes at the gym use new age terms in their exercise moves. It's important to know what scripture says about all this!
Christine2 Stars Out Of 5July 6, 2010ChristineHysterical nonsense, although not without certain entertainment value. All those pumpkins and costumes - in this Halloween certain girl will dress in 19th century wedding-dress complete with lovely red rose - dont actually equal evil and depravity.
G Lang4 Stars Out Of 5November 10, 2009G LangI have always wanted to know more about how Christians "deal" with Halloween and this has helped to shine light on that for me. Thank you.
Ms Denys Springer5 Stars Out Of 5October 31, 2006Ms Denys SpringerI just read the excerpt and it is full of valuable info that I did not know, rating base on what I have read. I wish I knew more of this holiday a few years ago. I would recommend to parents that they do purchase the book. God Bless you and continue to follow in his footsteps.
