Mine was old. I used it over the years- sent for a new one for me. I also sent away for one for a friend, who loves it as well. It not only gives a thought provoking devotional, but calls us to put it into action with challenges from Charles Swindoll. The negative if there is one, is that the print was smaller than the first book I ordered. - But still very readable and applicable to everyday life.
Joan Kuntz5 Stars Out Of 5July 24, 2007Joan KuntzThis was the first Swindoll book I read. It became a reference book for me. I referred to it so often as I was going through a most difficult time in my life. This book sparked my thirst for God's word, and got me into Bible study and a personal relationship with Christ. Thank you Chuck Swindoll. I am so glad God lead me to your book. I've lent it out to countless friends over the years, and all of them were profoundly changed by reading it. All experienced a new thirst for the Bible. The last time I lent it out I didn't get it back...so I figured God wanted them to keep that book. I pray that it will spark a thirst for God in them also.
