LOVE this new series! Every time I read one of Neta's novels, I feel as if I am "grounded." Her creativity is beyond amazing (she gets it from her Father)! The story line weaves characters from her other novels - like a homecoming reunion. Can't wait to read Dave's version "Derailed," soon - it's like reading in 3D. What an innovative, gifted, anointed, creative, blessed couple they are. This book contains timely messages for all ages, pertinent throughout the ages, contains entertaining sub-plots and gives glory to the Lord. Two of my terminally ill relatives received Jesus as a direct result of reading the Yada Yada series. Neta has a gentle way of leading the reader to the Lord through her writing. REFRESHING!

Grounded is the first book in a new series written by Neta and Dave Jackson. They have started another set of parallel novels. I became a fan of Neta Jackson after reading the Yadda Yadda Prayer Group series and I have read almost all of their books! I recommend this books as they are a great writing team who in every book encourage their reader to have a closer walk with Jesus!

"Grounded", first in Neta and Dave Jackson's "Windy City Neighbors" series, is their best writing to date, in my opinion, and that's high praise because I am a devoted fan of their "Yada Yada", "Hope House", "Souled Out Sisters", and "Harry Bentley Series" novels. Each series has characters from the original series, "Yada Yada", woven into the new books. Yet each book can be read as a"stand alone" novel. Intriguing to wonder which familiar character(s) will show up in the new book.

Chicago is home for all the series and many familiar landmark tourist sights, restaurants, and areas are mentioned. Since I have explored much of downtown Chicago and some outlying areas I find these references enhance the appeal of the books.

While "grounded" due to a number of circumstances, Grace, a contemporary Christian singer, journeys through some life challenges that all of us can relate to in some fashion. When Grace meets her neighbors we are able to catch up with a family from a previous series.

Caring about and praying for each other, our neighbors, is one of the themes of "Grounded".

I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Grounded" and can't wait for "Derailed" written by Dave Jackson as parallel novel to "Grounded" which will be available this fall.

Grounded is the first book in a new series written by Neta and Dave Jackson. The husband and wife team have started another set of parallel novels with the next sequel, DERAILED.

I became a fan of Neta Jackson after reading the Yadda Yadda Prayer Group series. While Grounded is a well written book, I was somewhat disappointed. After reading the first chapter, I was able to predict the story's plot line. This is totally unlike Jackson's other novels which are full of surprises. The Yadda Yadda Prayer Group series brought characters to life and provided the reader with a very uplifting and inspiring spiritual experience. Unfortunately, Grounded lacked this.

The novel does provide us with Grace, the main character, as someone many of us can identify with. However, her spiritual growth is just not deep enough. I was delighted to see some characters from the Yadda Yadda books in Grounded! Jackson does an excellent job of filling in the blanks for those who have not read the other novels. I so love the way Estelle prays with Grace.

Overall, I would recommend this book. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. I hope to see the characters grow in their faith and that the novels will provide the reader with grater encouragement to grow in their faith as well.

This is a Jackson book that I will be reading over and over. Just enough romantic tension and mystery in the air. It is one of those books that when I reached the end I cried, "Oh, no!". In other words, can't wait for the next book (a parallell book). Do yourself a favor, and read this one.
