Ted Dekker is the New York Times best-selling author of more than twenty novels. He is known for stories that combine adrenaline-laced plots with incredible confrontations between good and evil. He has sold 3.6 million books to date and lives in Austin, Texas.
Lisa5 Stars Out Of 5December 31, 2009LisaI could not imagine while reading this book, after reading the first three in the series, how it could be read first or last in the series until the very end. Just like all of Ted Dekker's books there is a Ahhhhhhhhh, at the end of each book. I read Black, Red and White first and Green was a great ending to the three. These books are good visuals of good and evil as it might appear with the naked eye instead of in the spiritual realm. I have read the books more than once and enjoy them each time. Must read for an adventure.
April4 Stars Out Of 5October 16, 2009AprilGreen by Ted Dekker is essentially a story of good vs. evil. The main character is a man named Thomas Hunter, who has managed to travel into the future via his dreams. He has stayed in the future and has become a leader of a peaceful group of people who are about to have all their beliefs and ways of life challenged. Green is Book Zero in The Circle Series by Ted Dekker. This is a story of how in the future, our world will return to a more primal state, without all of the current technologies we use now in everyday life. I enjoyed the spiritual side to Dekkers tale, where he connects what we view now as Christianity to the religions of people in the future. I was, however, disappointed in the vague way Dekker referred to things that had apparently been previously explained in the prior books in The Circle Series. I had never read any other Dekker novels, and while the author assures you that Green can be read as either the beginning or the end of The Circle series, I would not recommend it as a starter to this series. Several times it felt as though something was being referenced to as though I would already know what the characters were talking about. Overall, I was intrigued by the storyline and am interested in reading other books in this series.
