Tonja5 Stars Out Of 5July 12, 2001TonjaA truly life-changing book! I've had poor health for a long time, and I can finally understand why it may be at least partly my own fault, for not having adhered to God's ways. As a Christian finally growing in the faith (no longer a passive one!) I can recommend this book to anyone who finds themselves not feeling as well as they should. The only drawbacks I see in the book is: 1.) She appears to advocate a ritualistic approach to fasting, which I'm unable to find any commands in the Bible to do so (correct me if I'm wrong!), though there are certainly times it tells of people doing so for spiritual causes. 2.) Although she advocates the use of herbs, she appears to denounce the use of spices without giving any reason for it. I understand her denouncing the use of salt, but I see no reason to eliminate it altogether, but to drastically reduce it's use instead. Of course, the book was written back when everyone thought too much salt caused high blood pressure, so that likely explains that bias, but why the one against spices? Aside from those points, I've found this book a remarkable eye-opener, and I'm already feeling better than I have in a long while for following her guidelines, and am losing weight without even trying!
Jane5 Stars Out Of 5June 9, 2001JaneThis book is written in a way that is non-judgmental and is very easy to follow. Stormie Omartian has a way of communicating that helps her readers to know God more fully in every way: physically, emotionally, mentally. The seven steps are God-ordained and easy to follow. Who could not feel better following them? This is a marvelous book.
