Grateful Praise 4 5 1 1

I bought this book because I liked Labenske's "Higher Ground" book. It is still my favorite of the four books I own by him now. It was "Advanced" and this is "Moderately Advanced." Neither are advanced in any way in my mind. "Grateful Praise" is more like "Intermediate" or "Medium Difficulty" ratings. Modern worship songs frequently don't sound good as piano solos I've found, but "Here I Am to Worship" is one here that I believe you will like. He did a good job composing it. I wish the other ones - "Forever" and "You Are My King" sounded as good. My other favorite from this collection is "This Little Light of Mine" which is jazzy. The others seem too easy or are just blah. I hate to say that because I really like his style and chord choice and would buy more of his music. "God of Wonders" is okay but I have another version that sounds much better. "HIATW" and "This Little Light" are the only two I would use in public. June 5, 2009
