For anyone who is a lover of Grace Livingston Hill's books, as I have been for many years, this is a very welcome book. I remember reading a book of her life by (I think it was) her son-in-law quite a while ago, so as I read this book, I was at times comparing the two books. This reading experience was valuable, at times adding detail to what I already knew (example: her dying of cancer at a time when people just didn't speak of such a thing) and at other times slightly modifying what I'd already read (example: it being a mutual decision that her second husband leave Grace and her daughters). A few other parts of her life were explained more fully (example: that her marriage to Hill was good), and others were completely left out (example: her insisting, without success, during the latter part of her life that her daughters and their husbands live with her in her house). Summarizing, I found this book absolutely necessary to a better understanding of someone who has given her readers so much. I'm very glad I read it!
