Tell us a little about yourself. I am the President and Founder of Got Questions Ministries, the parent organization for GotQuestions.org, the source behind the Got Questions? book.
What was your motivation behind this project? In our 8 years of existence, we have received many requests that our online FAQs be published in book form. Beyond that, our goal was to get solid, biblically/based answers into the hands of more people.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? With our 428 most frequently asked questions, I sincerely hope that people will be built up in their faith through having many of their spiritually-related and/or biblical questions answered.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Going through the more than 1600 FAQs on our website and deciding which ones to include in the book was a difficult, but rewarding task. Editing/revising the answers for the book was a powerful learning experience for me.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My favorite authors include Charles Swindoll, John MacArthur, Philip Yancey, and Max Lucado.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Many books present teaching in a question-and-answer format, but few have delved into the questions that people are actually asking. Having received and answered more than 200,000 questions, Got Questions Ministries has a unique understanding of what questions are truly on peoples minds.
