This is the best book dealing with the issues of Dan Brown's book out there. It is scholarly and well researched. The author does a good job of being fair and balanced.

Dr. Witherington's book was one of the first of many to appear rebutting the DaVinci Code. It is also the best that I have read so far. He does a wonderful job of explaining the errors presented as facts in Dan Brown's book as well as acknowledging that Mr. Brown did get some things right. Too many of the other books on the market fail to acknowledge that our knowledge of our own history is murky at best and rarely taught to the average church member. This one of the reasons that the book has made such a sensation. I thought that Dr. Witherington did an excellent job in explaining not only the history surrounding the books misconceptions, but also how our basic doctrine and tenets of faith evolved. I always recommend this book to anyone who has read the DaVinci Code and is searching for the truth behind the fiction.
