The beginning of this novel is so good. The problem with the ecomony hitting the Amish is something I have always wondered about. I know they struggle just like the rest of us, but this book really brings out the reality of their struggles being so much like my own. The worries, concerns and dependence on God is so real. It ends with you wanting to just buy the next book to see what happens to Luke after Alex so viscously beat him and stole half of Luke and Meredth's life savings. How badly is Luke hurt? Does he make it to Indiana or does he get stuck in Philladelphia or does he make it back home and never reach Indiana? Will Alex find the peace with God he so desperately needs. Does his and Luke's paths ever cross again? I will need to read the next book to find out.
This book is awesome it may be small but it is fantastic, you are going to be into this book on the very first page and on the last page you are going to be wanting more, it is a very good Amish Christian book , I love all of the characters, Wanda just make you feel like you are one of them, you will love all of the wonderful Bible quotes. This book is definitely a must read
This series has already got you wanting more after you finish the first book. You are hoping for the best but you know that God will help them through this time. I can hardly wait to read the next novel. Her novels always have me on the edge of seat.
What a great book like all of Wanda's books. The characters are in a situation so true to life today. I'm caught up in their lives already as if I know them. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the lives of Meredith & Luke and how their faith will be put to the test to get them through the situations they are in.
