A study of the Book of Romans, Good News for God's People focuses on Paul's directions for obtaining righteousness through faith and the empowerment of the church by the Holy Spirit. Each of the book's eight sessions contains a purpose, a printed Bible passage, a core verse, an exploration of our need, guidance for faithful living, and a closing prayer. The lessons use the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.

This series of short-term Bible studies (4-8 weeks) is designed to guide adults who wish to explore a particular book of the Bible for a limited number of sessions. Books slated for inclusion in the series are primarily from the New Testament, with a few often-requested books from the Old Testament. Uses the New Revised Standard Version. Each chapter includes a purpose statement, a Bible passage, discussion questions, and a closing prayer.

2002 William Carter was born in Slant, Virginia and grew up in Virginia and Idaho. He graduated from Emory and Henry in 1949 and completed the M.Div. at Vanderbilt University in 1952. Bill has served twenty-eight year as pastor of local churches, as district superintendent, and as conference council director. He also hold an M.Ed. degree from the University of Tennessee and is a Minister of Christian Education. Bill lives with his wife, Belle, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
