One of the most insightful, practical books on what it really means to live in Christ. With sensitivity questions why we serve the Lord-just a Jesus did in His Sermon on the Mount. If you desire to serve the Lord with a pure heart this book is for you.

I'd recommend that every believer read this book. When I finished reading my copy I called CBD and ordered several more to give away. Excellent!!! I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Made me stop and pray concerning my motives for doing "things" for God. This is not a book you read through and put on the shelf. You prayerfully answer the questions at the back of the chapter.

6 stars out of 5. The best book I have ever read, except for the Bible. How to LIVE the Christian life! How to know God loves you! This is a book for everyone!! I plan to buy copies and give them away.

It was the strangest thing--I was in a Family Christian Bookstore, not looking for anything particular, and walking through the aisle, this book just stuck out at me. I didn't read much of it, but something inside me said, "read this. you need it." So I picked it up.Alan is an incredibly insightful man, it must be nice to go to his church and hear him speak. He did a great job of searching God's word for the answers to a question that is desperately in need of answering: how do we please God?I recommend this to anyone who is a Christian, whether you're tired or not. But especially for people who are worn out and feel like they're not getting anywhere.I'm not even done with it, and it's already the most helpful book I've ever read.
