Publisher's DescriptionFind fulfillment in knowing that every task, no matter how small, has incredible significance to God. A moms work is never finishedfrom changing diapers and fixing meals, to helping kids with their homework. Often the first one to rise and the last one to sleep, a mom doesnt need a special award for her work; she just wants to feel like her work matters and is appreciated. But often, mothers dont always feel they are affirmed for all that they do.
While moms tend to look to people for affirmation, the truth is, the only place to find this appreciation is to look to God. Based on Matthew 25:31-46, where Jesus tells his servants that the work theyve done for the least of these, they have done directly for Him, Well Done, Good and Faithful Mommy helps moms realize that everything they offer their children, they offer directly to Jesus. Moms will find fulfillment in knowing that every task they do, no matter how small, has incredible significance to God. Every mom will rest knowing one day she will hear Jesus say the words she longs to hear, "Well done, good and faithful mommy." Author BioMegan Breedlove is a wife and stay-at-home mom to five children. She is a graduate from Baylor University with a University Scholars degree in foreign languages and has a dual masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in marriage and family counseling and in religious education. She also writes popular weekly devotions for moms on her website, MannaforMoms.com.
Editorial ReviewsAn honest and encouraging book every mom will love and every mom needs. "Precious mom"those are the words Megan Breedlove uses to address the "good and faithful mommy" who reads this book. The very heart of this book is to understand how precious we are. Until we truly comprehend how we are fearfully and wonderfully made and treasured by the One True God, we are not going to escape the never-ending hamster wheel of people-pleasing, seeking fulfillment and affirmation from others, and just trying to attain some invisible goal of being the "great mom." With poignancy and candor, Megan leads the reader through her message of hope, joy and freedom. Her teaching is grounded in the Word of God and inspired by experience and humility. The more you open your heart to the lessons presented, the more your life will be transformed. Jesus loves you, and Megan wants to make sure you know it! He loves you with a love so deep, so complete and so fulfilling that if you seek to know Him, you cannot help but feel satisfied. This book came at a deeply painful time in my life, and it was such a monumental blessing to be reminded that I have a perfect parent in Jesus who will love me and show me the way as a busy mom and wife. In spite of my shortcomings, He is faithful to help me overcome them. You, too, will be reminded of the precious love, healing and rest that Jesus makes available to His children as you raise yours. If you are a mom, Megan Breedlove knows your story. Her warmth and easy humor pour into each word in an intimate and tender way. She honestly bears her heart and gently exposes the deep thoughts and needs that most moms keep hidden. If you feel a little lonelymaybe a bit unappreciatedMegans insights will help you see mothering through new eyes and discover true fulfillment. Well done! I enjoyed Megans last book so much, so when she asked me to read this book, I was honored and excited. Reading Well Done Good and Faithful Mommy, I must say it felt as if Megan pegged me straight on. I was the young mom of two beautiful daughters but always felt as if I were not a good mom. I can remember saying I felt I worked for my family, instead of being part of it. I had a list of things to do everyday and never got them finished . . . I must not be a good mom. I never seemed to get the laundry washed and put away . . . I must not be a good mom. I never felt my familyor Godwas pleased with my performance as a wife and mother. As I began to read this book, I figured out I still feel that way. I thank Megan for sharing this with meit is freeing to know others struggle with the same things I do and a wonder to be reminded that God loves us where we are, not where we are going. Thank you, Megan, for writing a book that lifts us out of who we think we are and teaches us who God says we are. Product ReviewsProduct Q&AFind Related Products
