Ray1 Stars Out Of 5Nothing To Do With ChristApril 2, 2011RayQuality: 3Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1The last reviewer is right. This movie is a classic in the sense from which secular are movies produced. If you want to see a drama about a family's life being affected by the Civil War, then you may like this movie. I have seen it twice before and there is no reason why this should be sold from any Christian place of business. The reason simply is that it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ; nor does it bring glory to His name. It is good to watch the old show reruns and the old classics instead of the senseless and blasphemous trash you see on TV today but, I think the elements from this movie are too intense to be considered for distribution from a Christian place of business. Again, is this movie a classic? Yes it is from a secular standpoint. But it has no place in a Christian marketplace.

I have always heard that it was a "classic" so I wanted to see it for myself. Many things in the movie are very ungodly. I was quite taken back by this movie. I was saddened. Great actors and actresses but like I said, many things in this movie were ungodly. I believe God would frown on this movie.
