Gone in a Heartbeat: Our Daughters Died . . . Our Faith Endures
A Heart-breaking story
As I read this very sad story of two useless untimely deaths, I felt like I was part of the family. I almost put the book down, unable to continue, since it gripped me so much. I just could not stop asking: Why, God, why? I must have asked that question a thousand times, as I'm sure the parents still are doing today. And I can't help but wonder how that particular family is coping today after these few years. Wish I knew, and wish I could see them and talk with them. Their church's website does not mention this sad incident at all...

Peace in spite of Sorrow
I am about 3/4ths of the way through this remarkable book. There have been several times where I had to set it down because I was overcome with feeling the grief they lived through. Told simultaneously by both husband and wife, I have felt like I was right there with them, wanting to reach out and console them in one chapter, and in the next raising my hands in worship when they did. Grief does not have to be all-consuming when you have wonderful friends, relatives, church support, and above all, the love of Jesus to hold onto. I feel like I know this family although we have never met, and I know without a doubt that their daughters' lives were not lived in vain. This heartwarming book will help many who think they can never forgive the perpetrator of tragedy...I know because it helped me.

Very sad, yet encouraging book
This book is so sad yet encouraging. It's a good read for anyone who is doubting God's love and faithfulnness.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The parents share their story and their hearts. Their faith blessed me.
