This devotional is terrific! It has the perfect mix of scripture, lesson/discussion points, fun activity, and prayer for this age group. The length of each devotional is also great for just before bedtime. At first I was worried that the activities might be too involved, but so far my daughter and I have been able to do each activity right in her bedroom with no advanced preparation needed on my part, which is fantastic!
I will definitely be recommending this devotional book to my friends!
Perfect for a litlle princess. My 6 year old daughter loves her book. it is a special time that we share every night before bed. it ends her day with beautiful thoughts about God and the amazing work he can do through her.
I bought this Book at the Women of Faith Conference for my daughter who is 8. She eagerly waits for me every night to read the devotional. It brings my little girl, myself, and God together every night with a simple, yet meaningful lesson. I love it so much that I am getting one for every little girl in our Sunday school. Susan Gomez
If your little princess loves the Gigi books from Sheila Walsh she is going to be delighted to spend a little time each night curled up with you reading a devotion that expounds on the principles taught in those books. The God's Little Princess Bedtime Devotional is designed for your four to seven year old little girl.
The book includes 106 daily devotions that start out with a scripture reading and then a devotional thought that pertains to the topic covered in the scripture. After the devotion there is a section called Good-Night Giggles and Grace that suggests a fun activity to help apply what has just been taught. The nice part about this section is that the activities are calming and quiet so your little one won't get all wound up right before bed! The daily section ends with a simple prayer.
I enjoyed sharing several days of this with one of my sweet little girls. It is the perfect activity to round out your day. What a blessing to read scripture together with your little one and then help them retain it by participating in a relevant activity. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a great way to introduce their little girl to the daily habit of devotions.
I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.
