In exploring God's awesome nature, it is helpful for children to understand God's design for them. For example, just as the monarch butterfly emerges from a cocoon to soar to heights above the clouds, so too can we all rest in the knowledge that God has made each of us special, and He has great love and a plan for us.

Located in: Sisters, OR Submitted: June 12, 2001 Tell us a little about yourself. I love children. I have written 35 books for children of all ages. At this time I am writing 10 books for Zondervan Publishing House. My books have won many awards and have sales of over 1,300,000. I hope children and their families will be blessed when they read one of my books. What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to show the character of God and His plan for us as revealed in the creatures He made. It was fascinating to me to discover so many lessons and concepts that I could learn from the various birds, animals, and insects God made. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? In this book I highlight some interesting characteristics about God's creatures. Then I found something from the Bible that also fit with the lesson to be learned. Lastly, I applied these truths to children as I tried to help them discover what it all means for each of their lives today. Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My own three children inspired me to write books! And the children I teach and work with today still inspire me to write. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: One of the favorite things I enjoy sharing with children are the true-life stories of other kids today. I hope children will read my devotionals which are full of these true stories: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO TODAY and WALKING WITH JESUS, One Step at a Time. Find Related Products |
