June2Des Moines, IAAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 59 year old likes it so far!March 30, 2011June2Des Moines, IAAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Bought this for my son's 9th Birthday. He seems to like it so far....just got it this month. He will come and tell me what he learned in the story after he reads it....so that tells me he's interested in it. Plus he loves animals! The devotionals are short and full of interesting facts about the animal in the story and then that is tied into how that relates to God, His creation, and us...interesting concept....and understandable for my son. Plus a bible memory verse and questions for him to answer to reinforce what was being taught.
I like the sprial bound book (lays flat which will make it easier for a child to read without it closing on him/her)....seems pretty durable and the pages are plastic coated...so should hold up well with lots of use.
Mom of 35 Stars Out Of 5August 30, 2010Mom of 3I just finished this devotional book with my three kids (ages 7, 5, & 3). All three of them loved it. They enjoyed learning about the animals and how they relate to God's word. I highly recommend this book!
Linda5 Stars Out Of 5February 1, 2010Lindamy grand children love this book! Excellent for my 8 yr. old grandson to read to his brothers and sister. Just what I was looking for in a devotional book. Great for either boys ao girls!
Judy5 Stars Out Of 5October 20, 2009JudyWe just finished going through this book with our boys and absolutely loved it! Each day's lesson about one of God's creation helped to grab our boys' attention, and I really appreciated the story or passage from the Bible that went along with the story. Great thought/application questions at the end of each lesson, too! Wonderful book!
Linda Patterson5 Stars Out Of 5August 21, 2009Linda PattersonI purchased the book for a gift and was so excited about it I purchased one for my granddaughter, who loves animals.

Tell us a little about yourself. I love children. I have written 35 books for children of all ages. At this time I am writing 10 books for Zondervan Publishing House. My books have won many awards and have sales of over 1,300,000. I hope children and their families will be blessed when they read one of my books.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to show the character of God and His plan for us as revealed in the creatures He made. It was fascinating to me to discover so many lessons and concepts that I could learn from the various birds, animals, and insects God made.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? In this book I highlight some interesting characteristics about God's creatures. Then I found something from the Bible that also fit with the lesson to be learned. Lastly, I applied these truths to children as I tried to help them discover what it all means for each of their lives today.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My own three children inspired me to write books! And the children I teach and work with today still inspire me to write.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: One of the favorite things I enjoy sharing with children are the true-life stories of other kids today. I hope children will read my devotionals which are full of these true stories: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO TODAY and WALKING WITH JESUS, One Step at a Time.
