Publisher's Description

Who is in control of salvation...God or man? In God Chose to Save, God's wonderful plan of election is explained in a clear and readable fashion. Rather than stacking a dizzying array of verses together to "Prove a point." The author carefully explains key texts as they pertain to the overall themes of the Bible. Charitable, yet refreshingly honest, this book needs to be read by all Christians whom desire a closer walk with the sovereign Lord of the Universe and who want a better understanding of the immeasurable richness of God's grace in choosing to save sinners.

For those who need a clear, understandable and lucid definition of the Doctrines of Grace, better know as the Five points of Calvinism, this is it! Bianchi's theological training and experience as a journalist really come through! He is easy to understand, and his profound yet simple exposition of God's Word will make every "free willer" who is lauding Dave Hunt's abomination, What Love is This? cringe in embarrassment at their own position. Honestly, it is really hard to understand after reading this book how anybody in their right mind could be an Arminian. This is the best treatment of the subject I've ever read. The book was given to me by a friend...I just could not thank him enough!!!

Author/Artist Review

Author: Joseph M. Bianchi

Tell us a little about yourself.  I spent many years as a journalist and businessperson prior to my ordination, so I know the struggles that the average Christian goes through when trying to develope a theology. To that end, I would ask the reader to read this book carefully and with much prayer. More importantly, the reader needs to go to the Bible to see if these things are so.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I would like the reader to see that God is totally sovereign, that man can claim nothing in his salvation, and to counter the man-centered religion of our day. If you are thinking of reading Dave Hunt's upcoming book, Calvinism' Misrepresentation of God, I would ask you to read my book also for another opinion on the matter.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  To God alone be the glory!

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  This book was written as a response to the rampant "free willism" that pervades the Evangelical churches today. It is written in a style that all can understand and benefit from. I did not want to write a book that sounded like a pastor talking to pastors. Rather, I'm appealling to the average Christian in the pew who is trying to deal with this most important issue.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I wanted to tell the truth of God as I see it plainly written in Scripture, so I do not pull any punches. I believe that the "free will" gospel is false; and that if we are to truly love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, we must bow to His absolute sovereignty. Men and women do NOT "make a choice for Jesus"; rather, they TRUST in His Finished work.
