• What do you say to a loved one who is dying?
• What happens when we die?
• How can you make a dying friend feel safe?
• Does a dying person really see angels, hear music, or see friends and family members who have already died?
Tender, heartbreaking, and eye-opening, this New York Times bestseller offers a window into the world beyond and life after death.
"As I read this book, I cried, I laughed, and I thought ... of my own mortality. This collection of stories transcends generations and time. These stories have tremendous pathos and show tremendous faith and courage."
"As part of my work I read many books, but Trudy Harris's description of the spiritual experiences of the dying was something that I could not put down. She is clearly loving and compassionate in sharing how the dying prepare for traveling on to the next life. Trudy has written a beautiful work, helping us know what might happen in our own journey as she gives us courage, hope, and faith in realizing that dying is the path to new life."
"Glimpses of Heaven brings home in so many moving and deeply inspiring ways the reality of life after death--a life filled with the abundance of God's love and the joy of those we loved dearly in this world. We are truly indebted to Trudy Harris for sharing these experiences with many who need to be reassured that the best part is ahead."
"This book is for everyone--from health care providers to social workers to clergy, and all of us who will one day find ourselves saying good-bye to someone we love. Glimpses of Heaven goes where few people venture--into a sacred space that is worth exploring."
"Her book is a significant addition to the literature in its emphasis on the spiritual dimensions of living each day fully all the way to life's ending. The stories presented reflect the very real communication that occurs at the end of life between the dying person and those who care for them."
June bugPAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5this was a great book to read.March 8, 2012June bugPAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4We had hospice with a family member a few years ago, and some of the things our family member said and did, we didn't understand. we didn't think to ask the hospice nurses at the time, so this book has explained many things we were wondering about. So in the end, it helped us also.
cookies3OhioAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5FabulousJune 24, 2011cookies3OhioAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have become overly curious about heaven. I have a sister, Joy, who passed away in 1988 and a hospice nurse helped her to understand who Jesus was and did for her at the cross. She died peacefully. I borrowed this book from my church library so I would have something to read while on the treadmill. I loved it so much. The short stories are an easy read and I could stop and ponder after each story. I bought two copies but will probably buy more. One for my sister Jane who was there for my sister Joy until the end and one for our home library so I can loan it out.

I suggest it to many of my clients, gave a dozen of them as Christmas presents recently. Very encouraging and faith-based.
ttrudilouLong Beach, CAAge: 45-54Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5repetitive readingJune 3, 2011ttrudilouLong Beach, CAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3I'm not sure what I expected, but each story about the dying patients is about 2 pages long, and with similar outcomes. I am glad she wrote the book, it confirms my faith that Jesus is alive. However, the book is feeling repetitive at the moment--I'm not sure what her goal was.
