rachel4 Stars Out Of 5January 16, 2008rachelI really enjoyed this study!! It was helpful. The only thing I didn't really like was the memorization verse every day, b/cuz I don't memorize that fast, but thats just me. :) It was really cool study!!!
cutekittiesUSAge: 18-24Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5July 1, 2007cutekittiesUSAge: 18-24Gender: femaleI thought this book was great. It gets you to dig into the bible. But it was hard to mediate on it during the day. It's like a work book. Also questions she asked were really good but Mrs. Grover never said what to do about some answers you may have put down. She uses a lot of the same passages but it's kinda of God because you dig deep in the story. But considering this is the only book she wrote for teens it's a great book. The book helps you think about scripture! I also hopes she writes another book.
Addy5 Stars Out Of 5March 30, 2007AddyExcellent! I'm going to recommend this study to my teen friends. Michelle writes in a down-to-earth style and has some very wise insights. I hope she writes more!
Sonja Langford5 Stars Out Of 5January 20, 2007Sonja LangfordThis Tween/Teen Bible study helped me learn more about the Proverbs 31 woman and her rival the dreaded immoral woman talked about in Proverbs 7. I learned how she manages a household. I recommend this Bible Study to any girl who wants to be a better girl after God's own heart.

Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up in a Christian home and was saved about a week after my twin sister Melissa, when we were almost five years old. God has used so many different things in my life to help me know Him better, but some of the key ones were an open relationship with my parents, Christian friends that kept me accountable and would talk about what they were learning in God's Word with me, and attending/working at the WILDS Christian Camp in Brevard NC. The most important decision I made as a teen was to read my Bible on a daily basis.
What was your motivation behind this project? My husband and I were working at a Christian camp in Wisconsin and the Camp Director kept recommening the teen girls go through the book of Proverbs and compare the two types of women in that book of the Bible. I had recently completed a course in Biblical Womanhood in college where the final project was to write a parallel outline of those two women and knew that it was a huge undertaking. Still I felt like what the Camp Director was saying really was something that would be helpful for girls to grasp as they were making decisions that would impact that kind of woman they would be for the rest of their lives. Obviously God can change those already headed down the wrong path too, but wouldn't it be so much better if teen girls could get into the Bible and have a goal set before them, a model to strive after, and encouragement that they could become a praiseworthy woman. So, when I quit working at a Christian school a month before our first son was born, I started working on the manuscript for "The Girl in the Mirror."
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? A desire to be in God's Word on a regular basis and to be the kind of lady that is beautiful to God.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It's God's WORD! Even after the book was published, I went through it again and still felt like I had further to go. We're all striving after godliness and it's a life-long pursuit.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Favorite Classic Author: Charles Dickens Favorite Christian Fiction: Chronicles of the Kings Series, by Lynn Austin (Bethany House) Favorite Commentary on Proverbs: Peter A. Steveson (BJUPress) Favorite Writing Instructors: Miss Laura Lindwall (High School) and Mrs. Jamie Langston Turner (College) Favorite Artist: Ron DiCianni (Tapestry Productions)
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Compare everything to the Word of God. Don't assume because one thing written by an author is good that everything from here on out will be. People change and not always for the better. Don't be critical, mind you, but do be careful. God's Word is the final authority and we all must be accountable to that!
