We live in a time when things are tough for a lot of folks. The boomers are beginning to feel anxiety as they move toward retirement. Many people are facing financial pressure and are up to their ears in debt. We are having to care for both our kids and our parents.
The pace of life, and the demands of life, just keep getting more intense. And for many, these tough times bring life crises. This is a book of encouragement, hope and freedom... an invitation to meet Christ at the crossroads of our lives and move beyond the tough times.

Katie Carr5 Stars Out Of 5July 21, 2008Katie CarrThis book gets right to the heart of what we need to do. Pastor Charles Swindoll is a brilliant writer, and a Pastor. I love reading his books. If you want someone to pat you on the back, or a shoulder to cry on then don't read this book. If you want someone to tell you how to deal with feeling great anxiety and even despair and how to get through it this is the book for you.
Jeff Taylor4 Stars Out Of 5June 29, 2008Jeff TaylorIf you've read or listened to the Swindoll series "Strengthening Your Grip," you'll enjoy this follow up. For a topical study, it delivers Biblical truth and insight, not to mention encouragement, for the various struggles we face in life. The table of contents is available to view here, so you can get an idea of the subject matter. Each chapter stands alone; This became the basis for our Wednesday devotionals at our church. It's a help for those who struggle with these issues, and a help for those who need guidance to help friends and family. Excellent Bible study!
