From the age of seventy until ninety, Mr. Müller began to make great evangelistic tours. He traveled 200,000 miles, going around the world and preaching in many lands and in several different languages.
This classic biography of George Müller tells of his dependence on prayer and his compassionate concern for orphans in Bristol, England. George Müller (1805-1898) was well-known for his constant faith in God and for providing an education to the children under his care, to the point where he was accused of raising the poor above their natural station in life. Müller left a charitable legacy that continues to this day.
George Müller of Bristol was written the year after Müllers death by his close friend, Arthur T. Pierson, an American preacher and evangelist.

This is a tribute to the glory of God and a great true story of a man who believed the Word, he was intimately tied to Jesus and taught others the same. Good discipleship training and everyone interested in raising funds should read this first. This edifies the Lord in every way and is an incredible journey to see for yourself.

Life changing, George Muller opens to the reader some of his deepest thoughts and even weaknesses, which I didn't expect.A real encouragement to those of us who can put 'them on a pedestal'

Because this book was written in 1899 I at first found it a little hard to follow and sometimes understand. (Words had slightly different meanings then, etc)I then purchased "George Muller- Delighted by God" by Roger Steer. Although a shorter book, it covered Muller's life well and was easy to follow. Now knowing well Muller's story, I was then able to start A.T. Pierson's "George Muller of Bristol" again and found it easier to follow. In fact it added other details that Steer's book did not.I highly recommend that every Christian be familiar with George Muller's life story as it will inspire you to trust deeper in our God who is faithful!

Not just a biography but a lesson in God's equipping. Written in 1899, it is amazing how similar the state of the churches and the clergy were to today. Great wisdom and insight from a man who knew and trusted God.
