I've never really been a big Jane Austen fan, I never actually read those time of books only watched the movie remakes. But as I was reading, this felt very reminiscent of that genre. I've been reading several non-fiction books and this was just pure enjoyment.

Debbie from ChristFocusHarrison, ARAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Short and funnyJune 29, 2014Debbie from ChristFocusHarrison, ARAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This romance is the sort where the guy and the gal love each other but each assumes the other isn't interested in them due to a misunderstanding. In this case, a misunderstood sigh. It's a comedy and only about 55 pages long, so I gave it a try. The misadventures due to the gal's headstrong ways and refusal to listen to sound advice were funny. It's not really my type of romance, though.
alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful Short StoryFebruary 21, 2014alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Charlotte Wilson has had enough of "being on the shelf" and has decided on marrying Mr. Hamilton Beckett, a widower with two small children. She devises a plan to be introduced to Mr. Beckett and then enlists the help of her life-long friend Mr. Henry St. James help her. But things don't go according to first plan or her second or her third. So what's a girl to do?
Henry St. James has recently returned to New York and agrees to help Charlotte in her plots to win Mr. Beckett to the altar, despite being in love with her himself.
Although this is a short story, the author did a great job with the characters and the story. It has great humor and I found myself smiling, if not laughing out loud in several places. This book is a great way to introduce yourself to a new author.

When I finished it I wished it would have been longer, because I liked it so much. I had never read anything by this author before, but after reading this story I put one of her other books on my reading list.
