Sweet Novella
I couldn't stop smiling!
Charlotte is convinced that Hamilton Beckett, the widowed father of two, is the man for her. But when her childhood best friend walks back into her life to help her win over Mr. Beckett, she finds herself strangley conflicted. Will Charlotte ever find the Gentleman of Her Dreams?
I absolutely loved the characters in this introductory novella, Charlotte was lively and despite her antics, I found myself really liking her. Henry was the perfect compliment to Charlotte's impetuous nature, I adored him.
This novella was laced with a healthy dose of humor, and I just fell in love with Ms. Turano's lively writing style that kept me hooked, and not wanting to miss a single word. I just couldn't stop smiling while I was reading this story!
Overall, a completely charming prequel to Ms. Turano's A Change of Fortune, I loved meeting the characters that I look forward to seeing more of in the future in her novel. I guess the only thing I didn't like about this book was that it was too short and I didn't want it to end :) Filled with laughs and wit, I enjoyed every minute of Gentleman of Her Dreams!
I bought this book myself and reviewed it because I liked it!

It was a clean, funny, and enjoyable! I like books that have resolution and aren't so dark. It was light and left me feeling good.

An easy read about an impetuous young lady.
I love stories set in the 1800's. So this book provided that. It also provided some laughs about a very impetuous young lady, setting out on a quest that was somewhat presumtuous to say the least. Her misadventures lead her to realize that things are not always as they appear.
A happy ending, feel-good kind of tale.

â¢ðoâ¢:*:â¢Lighthearted and Fun.â¢:*:⢠oðâ¢
After reading A Change of Fortune, I discovered this little gem free online. It features some of the same characters, but they are not in the foreground. This 5 chapter novella showcases a wonderful lifetime friendship between Charlotte Wilson and Henry St. James. Charlotte is clumsy, inventive, and an extremely free spirit. She is determined to either find herself a husband or become a devoted spinster. Henry, on the other had has always loved Charlotte, and left New York to be rid of her and the pain her unreturned love caused him. He has been gone for 2 years, but her letters have led him to believe he may have a chance with her and he has returned just in time to get roped into her schemes to catch herself a husband. This novella is a nice afternoon diversion, and gives you a lovely taste of what is yet to come.
The author has shared with me, on her FB page, that this little novella was her editorâÂÂs idea after she had already finished books #1 as a way to introduce readers to her style, before the books were actually released. I like this idea, because she could include upcoming characters in this mini prequel.
She also informed me that this character, Charlotte, will make another appearance in Book #4. How fun to look forward to that! Also, as I was inquiring about Grayson from A Change of Fortune, he will be developed further in Book #3. YAY!!!
I downloaded this copy for free and I am so glad I did.
