Wonderful book of Biblical Creationism and the Genisis Flood account...so thankful to have this book to supplement the Creationist teaching of Geology that my son is getting. I'm so thankful for this book built from a Biblical world view!

I purchased this book when it was originally printed and was amazed at the insight between bible and science that it offered. I lost it in a home relocation and upon teaching Genesis once again, I had to purchase a replacement copy to prepare for the class. It's a book that will always be in my Library

This book is full of scientific evidence that supports the Bible account of the history and the age and creation of the earth and the account of the flood that took place during the time of Noah. All of the science is well explained and it is written by scientists.

This book gives ample evidence that Jesus spoke the truth when He referred to the flood and Noah. Ample evidence is given for such a catastrophe in earth's young history and done so in a readable way. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know more of what the Bible has to say about the event as well as those who need a primer or a review of a little scientific information. I believe this book is a necessity for anyone wishing to wade in on a Creation/Evolution debate or discussion. For those who see Creation Science as anything but science will be seriously challenged to refute it and this work.

If you do not believe the Bible, don't read this book, it will only anger you. If you do believe God's word is truth without any mixture of error, you will enjoy and learn from Dr. Morris. This book is very well documented. A must read for all that take God's word at face value.

I havenīt read the whole book yet, but from what I have read, buy this book! The book goes deep into the flood theology and science. It is thick as a Bible and nearly as nourishing. There is no bottom in the depths of God!! Are you willing too dive?

Sadly, it seems that everyone has missed the point. If you need to reconcile physical evidence with a literal interpretation of the Bible, it's essentially a tacit admission that you need proof to back up your faith. What happened to proof denying faith? And, really, water rings surrounding Earth as the source of the global flood is a more likely scenario than, oh, say, it being smaller? Come visit Alaska, California, Japan or Hawaii sometime, and feel some solid, incontrovertible physical evidence of continental drift.

Jon's review is obviously from an athiest who is trying to crash a Christian Bookstore website! Very doubtful that he has read The Genesis Flood. This book began the modern creationist revival among Christians. The criticisms of uniformitarian Geology have proven to be very accurate! After this book, then came a major change among secular geologist who are dumping the uniformitarian brand for "neo-catastrophism." There is tremendous evidence for the world-wide Genesis Flood. Ken Ham says of the fossil record, "there are billions of dead things burried in rock layers that were laid down by water all over the earth. Fossils are primarily formed when animals and plants are covered by water transported sediments and then burried. These fossils are found in great fossil beds all over the earth, even on the tops of great mountains! Fossils are formed catastrophically! Dr. Morris and Witcomb are right on the money in what they point out in their book. Even though this book is from about 1960, it is still not out of date and is useful to compare what they wrote, the change from uniformitarianism to catastrophism, and what current creationists at ICR and AIG are saying. Uniformitarianism gave evolutionists the billions of years of time they need for evolution to occur. How do we know the age of the earth once the uniformitarian foundation is abandoned? This is one of the topics dealt with at length in THE Genesis flood. The fossils themselves demonstrate abrupt appearance, stasis, and then extinction. They do not demonstrate gradual cross phyla evolution of the microbe to the microbiologist variety. The fossils are great evidence both for sudden creation (Genesis chapter one) and mass death and extinction through a hydraulic catastrophe (Genesis 6 to 9).
