Does your child simply not grasp a concept? Then take a peek at this book and learn some fun ideas. The author really helps one in thinking how math is so much part of every day life and that helps one to use those opportunities. There are also many game suggestions for the various mathematical operations. These games are easy to make yourself and do not require special supplies. Each game suggests which grades it would be suitable for.
We used this book at 3rd Grade level, which is a little late, I would suggest getting it at K level, and you can use it for so much longer.
I would have given 5 stars, but some of the directions for the games take up a few pages, so there are not as many games as the size of the book suggests.
Sharon Pustejovsky5 Stars Out Of 5February 2, 2009Sharon PustejovskyThe games in this book beat math drills any day of the week. I have a hard time getting mine to stay focused on a page full of drills sometimes, and when we are having an off day in math, I pull out this book, and they begin having so much fun that they don't realize that they're doing the same thing that was on a sheet, and having ten times more fun.We love Khala, but there are so many games in here that will get your child figuring out math problems.
Melodie Rains5 Stars Out Of 5March 29, 2000Melodie RainsI have found all of Peggy Kaye's books to be incredibly helpful for homeschooling. If your child is having a problem with a specific skill, just skim through the book to find a game for that problem. Her books are a must for grades K-3. I homeschool 5 children and I highly recommend them.
