How can a church survive into the next millenium? That is the question Don Posterski and Gary Nelson asked themselves while researching and writing Future Faith Churches. This book shows the way through to the 21st century by examining 14 examples of churches - from Pentecostal to mainline liberal - that are combining the strands of evangelism, social action, church growth, and strong leadership to create the fabric of their worshipping community.
Recognized author and researcher, Don Posterski has written several books relating to youth ministry and evangelism while pursuing his special interest in connecting the Christian gospel and culture. He is in demand to interpret North American cultural trends and their implications to educators, parents, religious leaders and government policy-makers. He has served as local pastor, in youth ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and currently as Vice President of National Programs for World Vision Canada. Don Posterski is also an adjunct professor of Culture and Christianity at McMaster Divinity College. Senior minister of First Baptist Church in Edmonton, Gary Nelson leads seminars and workshops on urban church renewal and revitalization throughout Canada. He is an adjunct professor of Church Ministry teaching at Edmonton Baptist Seminary, and on the doctoral committee of St. Stephen's College in Edmonton.
