Can you imagine attending a wedding where the family and friends offered the above blessing to a new bride? Yet these words of encouragement, once offered to Rebekah on the advent of her marriage to Isaac (Genesis 24:60), beautifully communicate the heart of God's command to Christian husbands and wives that they be exceedingly fruitful and raise children who will influence all of culture and society for the glory of God. But why do so many Christian married couples chose to "cut off their seed?" What if any biblical basis exists for deliberately thwarting the birth of children? Is it ever "good stewardship" to prevent children on the basis of financial concerns? These and related questions are examined in the light of Scripture in this groundbreaking study guide for Christian couples.

I had to buy this book and read for myself what it says. I already have 5 children and have been struggling with having more or not. With a big family already I hear comments from people about it. But this book has reassured me that I am not doing anything wrong and that desiring to have a big family is simply desiring what GOD created me for! This book is not just the opinion of a woman with a big family(she has 6 children) but gives lots of scriptures to back it up! It has given my husband and me something to pray about. We desire to obey everything not only the easy things. that includes trusting GOD with our family size. Author also lists health benefits of pregnancy and nursing. Truly a life changing book. I will be passing it on to a friend when I am done.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It gave many Scripure's to back up the ideas presented. I had hoped that it would have also provided the opposite side as well and then compare through Scripture the differences. However it didn't mention why most of the Christian community believes contrary to the writer. I think it would serve better to present both sides. After reading through the Scriptural presentation in this book I was compelled to take it to the Lord and ask for myself. I highly recommed this book to others!

My wife and I read this book a few years ago. WOW! Not only was it challenging, but extremely convicting. Actually, the book wasn't convicting, but the scriptures that were illuminated to show GOD's truth on this issue. I've known many people who were antagonistic about having more children, but everyone who has read this book has been personally changed.... for life!
