Tell us a little about yourself. I am an Academic Counselor at Texas Tech University. I am married to a wonderful woman named Alison and we have a toddler son named Clark. I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, writing, shooting baskets, and discipleship.
What was your motivation behind this project? I saw the need for a book that appealed to young adults about dating that did not address marriage. I feel that my generation did not have a voice for this, so I strove to make one.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope people will gain an understanding of how important relationship decisions are to the people of the church. My hope is for people to glorify God through every relationship.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My favorite authors are, without a doubt, C.S. Lewis, A.W. Tozer, Spurgeon, among many others. I listen to a lot of music while writing including: Starflyer 59, Aaron Sprinkle, Shane Barnard, Explosions in the Sky, Stellamaris, Mogwai, Mono, Weezer, Radiohead, U2, Tara Leigh Cobble, John LaMonica, Five Iron Frenzy, Sigur Ros, Air, The Album Leaf, The Postal Service, Iron and Wine, The Shins, Derek Webb, Caedmon's Call, Sufjan Stevens, Prelude to the Saints, Denison Witmer, Pedro the Lion, Unwed Sailor, American Analog Set, Switchfoot, Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, Frou Frou, The Juliana Theory, Nickel Creek
