Author Bio

WELBY O'BRIEN holds a teaching degree from Biola University and a Master's Degree in counseling from Portland State University. Having personally experienced grief, divorce and PTSD, she has authored Good-bye for Now, and Formerly A Wife, as well as LOVE OUR VETS: Restoring Hope for Families of Veterans with PTSD. She is also a contributing author to Chicken Soup for the Soul: Divorce and Recovery, and Shepherding Women in Pain.Welby initiated and facilitates the national support network called "Love Our Vets: PTSD Family Support. LLC" ( www.loveourvets.org). Actively involved in leadership and teaching for over 30 years, Welby has also been a welcomed guest on radio and television, as well as a featured 'expert' in video productions. She was recently honored as Woman of the Month by Oregon Women's Report.     It is okay to feel the way you do, and you are NOT crazy! Formerly A Wife is really down to earth. You feel like you are the one in the pages. You are not alone in what you feel! And not only does Welby O'Brien share deeply and honestly, she offers hope in this deep dark valley of divorce. Don't be fooled by the title...it is helpful for men and women.
