What Jesus did with the twelve disciples was not an academic excercise--it was an apprentice model. Jesus' purpose was to train and equip his disciples and what he did with teh twelve gives us a God-inspired model for today's small groups. As we examine how Jesus led his small group we learn to question and listen, love and counsel, forgive and encourage, imitate and serve, and grow and multiply just as his group did.
