For a first attempt at a movie by non-professional film makers, this movie is excellent. The story line is believable and the mix of seriousness and humor is good. Considering the film's they have done since and the popularity and quality of those films, this film was definitely an amazing start for the church.
I had been wanting to watch this movie for the longest time and when CBD had their DVD sale, I bought it. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and was teary eyed at times. The quality is not big screen (ie: sound), and the actors are not professionals but it is a great story about pride, arrogance and redemption, if we choose that. (I winced a little bit at the way the husbands spoke to their wives pre-transformation but I suppose that was the point) Overall it reminded me of the power God can have in our lives if we just allow it. So glad for the Kendrick Brother's movie ministry! Keep them coming!
The story line is excellent. This movie is not one of "Hollywood's" quality but it is still an excellent movie! It may not have the polished feel of "Hollywood" but it also does not have the values of "Hollywood" either. You can see God working in this!
Very good family film bringing out how pride goes before a fall and how God works for our best when everything is turned over to Him and shows how honesty is the best pollicy. Using or adding some good humor makes it a hit too. I particularly noticed music is not as overbearing or questionable as other films made by same creators of this one. That gives it a real plus from me!
