scott5 Stars Out Of 5Every Heathcare Provider should see this MovieNovember 3, 2015scottQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This movie visually documents the terrible conditions of war. The suffering and death of soldiers was more commonly associated with disease and poor wound care than actual combat . Florence Nightingale created the modern nursing prototype. The courage and will of this lady has saved countless lives.

I never knew the whole story of Florence Nightingale and this was very well done to depict her life. She was certainly a remarkable woman. Great for the whole family to watch and also great for homeschoolers.
IAMHISSumter, SCAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent MovieSeptember 29, 2011IAMHISSumter, SCAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Jacqueline Smith does an awesome performance as Florence Nightingale. The movie ensures you that if God Called you to do a particular thing in life, HE Will Make A WAY! She was continually focused on Her Calling and nothing was going to deter her,- even a proposal of marriage. She was going to fulfil the calling in her life. What an example to young women that they can be all God wants them to be in Christ.
Martha Cuevas5 Stars Out Of 5April 7, 2010Martha CuevasFantastic movie. We saw it years ago and I have looked for this movie for a long time to purchase it. It does an excellent joy of portraying her life as a nurse. her struggles as a woman to be recognized and the endless work that she and the other ladies gave to take care of the wounded men. It showed her determination and vision.
Q: Does the movie, Florence Nightingale - use profanity, immodesty, etc. or is it portrayed in a Christian way?
Florence Nightingale was a nurse, and some wounded people are shown in this movie which include a burn on a womans arm, gunshot wounds to soldiers, and an amputation (the actual procedure is not shown).
There are some battle scenes, but they only show black powder explosives and people falling over--not very graphic at all.
There is one kiss exchanged in the movie, but it would not be considered overly scandalous in this day and age; however, it would have been quite inappropriate for their time.
There is no vulgarity, but there is an implication and (later in the movie) declaration that nurses during the age were behaving immorally with the male doctors.
