I suppose that I enjoyed this book - to an extent. I was very excited the moment I read the cover as I love reading the story of Esther in the Bible. I also was happy to see that Tommy Tenney had written it so I was full of anticipation. However, I was rather disappointed. I struggled to get into it from chapter 1 and I kept on going but I still battled with the text. I was rather disappointed that this happened but, on a more positive note, some of the stuff mentioned was awesome!! Sadly I couldn't rate this any more than 3 stars because it was great in some places and extremely disappointing in others.
This is an awesome book. I've just about finished it. I chose to read it slow as to let the truths sink in. I highly recommend it to anyone. It truly has been a Word from the Lord for me at this time in my life.
This book was EXCELLENT!! It offered not only an in depth look at the significance of the story of Ester but it also offered the cultural implications of the time, bringing the story to life! I was blessed richly by reading this book and highly recommend it to any man or woman who is looking for a closer more intimate relationship with the Lord!
