    Ken Wilson gives us the tools to share the message of Gods great love in a deliberate and sequential way. His toolbox contains Bible references, illustrations, and thought-provoking questions. He urges us to earn the right to be heard by first building a genuine, loving friendship with the person. Kens approach to evangelism is one of friendship, gentleness, and respect. This is an excellent resource for helping us to confidently share the Gospel.

    Ken Wilson has created a superb and unique resource that so many others before him have missed. This jewel of a book empowers Christians, Seekers and even Non-Christians to understand and gain vital, faith-building knowledge of God through Bible scripture. Far too often, I meet individuals struggling with accepting Christ into their lives and not "knowing" how God truly perceives them personally. Ken provides a key to unlock the door to help one clearly present the word of God to those with an open mind and heart. Every church, small group and adult class should make this book available...

    Ken Wilson, a neighbor, asked me to review this book when it was in it's preliminary stages. Since I was not a Christian at the time, I had to ask Ken to show me how to look up some of the Bible Verses--I even had to borrow one of Ken's Bibles, since I didn't have one. Ken asked me to review it for punctuation and it's content. I worked through this book (which was almost exactly like the final version) and found that the content was nicely broken down and easy to understand. The Scripture verses in each chapter brought home the point and looking them up was a life-changing experience. After working through this book and asking Ken to explain some of the things that I didn't fully understand--along with a traumatic experience in my life--I understood the Good News of salvation and wanted to accept Jesus Christ into my heart. Ken was there to lead me through the Sinner's Prayer. Since coming to the Lord, I have used Ken's book to teach other Seekers the Good News and have been blessed with leading others to the Lord. This book is a tremendous tool in bringing the Gospel to others. The "bridge" analogy is very visual and simple and breaks Salvation down into it's simplest and most graffic terms. The illustrations in each chapter are fantastic and are similar to the kind of parables that Jesus used to bring a point home. And finally, the Up Close and Personal stories in each chapter are true--because my story is included--only my name was changed. I know a few of the people personally and their testimonies speak for themselves. This book is great fruit for any "Seeker" to digest and also for any mature Christian to devour. I highly recommend this book to any church, congregation, small group leader, or anyone desiring to spread God's Good News of Salvation to others.

    This is a really good resource to use to discuss the role of Christ in a friend's life.I took a Sunday School class with the author and found the book to be a very practical way to discuss the role of Christ in one's life.It is a tremendous resource to support yourself when a friend who has not accepted Christ wants answers from you.
