Jake Olson5 Stars Out Of 5I really liked Find MeNovember 18, 2010Jake OlsonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5
I noticed the star rating today for Find Me and just felt that I had to add a good review to push up the average and to add to the discussion about this product.
I watched Find Me over a year ago, and it still sticks with me as a very enjoyable film for a Christian audience. The characters reminded me of people I know and seemed like real people, the story may be a bit far-fetched, but it's a movie, and it was a fun adventure. I also think the film was honoring to God. Although I don't remember it having heavy spiritual content, I remember it as a film that would help lukewarm teen Christians to ask some questions about their lives.
Find me is an all-around fun Christian movie.
Angie Castellaw1 Stars Out Of 5Only for the open minded...October 6, 2010Angie CastellawQuality: 4Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1
As far I can tell, this movie is designed to reach young people, and indeed, three college students are the main actors, and they are doing a good job acting. However, I must say this movie is going to be only for the open minded…
You can’t be too narrow minded about James 2:19. The main message of the “Christian†teen is: he made a decision “to believe in Godâ€.
You can’t be too narrow minded about Acts 4:12 – the name “Jesus†doesn’t occur in the movie.
You can’t be too narrow minded about Romans 3:23 – “sin†does not occur either.
You can’t be too narrow minded about 2 Corinthians 6:14 – if there’s chemistry, there’s chemistry; and that’s all that matters, right?
You can’t be too narrow minded about Exodus 20:4-5 – the non-Christian teen teaches the “Christian†teen to bow down to and honor idols inside a Catholic church.
As for the story line, if I could ask the author of the movie one thing it would be: “Why would a man who is willing to kidnap someone to stop the Ten Commandments from being displayed write clues to his whereabouts using the TEN COMMANDMENTS [-for that matter, why give any clues at all??]?â€
