We do that locally with partner churches and nationally through resources and training. For more information, see our Web site at www.mercytree.org. What was your motivation behind this project? I raised my two children as a single mom on a low income and I made many financial mistakes before being exposed to sound financial teaching. I work with single parents today and see that the need for this information continues to grow. I want to help single parents avoid pitfalls, enjoy life on the income they have, find the support they need, and reach their goals. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? This book is full of practical tips and proven strategies to help single parents or anyone else managed over-stretched incomes. Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The source of wisdom is from God and spelled out in His Word, but it was brought to light and developed for me through His messengers, particularly the late Larry Burkett. Larry was a pioneer who discovered years ago that the financial constraints on single parents warranted special attention and admonished the church that we had a mandate from God to help them.
